Cannell House
Community Residential Facility (CRF)
Under contract with the Correctional Service of Canada, AHS has been operating Cannell House since July 1997. As a 20 bed Community Residential Facility for male federal offenders located in Moncton, New Brunswick, Cannell House supports and assists offenders in successfully reintegrating into the community. The services are designed to assist offenders in completing treatment and supervisory programs while in the community.
AHS is proficient in facilitating and supporting federal offenders during their transitions from institutional to community-based settings. We are proud to be a leading service provider in the correctional industry, and have successfully designed, implemented and managed a wide variety of services to provide support, training and valuable life skills to offenders and their families. Since 1997, we have provided over 6500 “bed days” and have served over 1400 residents during their stay.

Diversified Employment Solutions
Diversified Employment Solutions (DES) became the newest division of AHS in 2011. It started with our core program Transition to Work and was then followed by Employment Counselling for Newcomers to Canada, Career Information Centres and Pre-Employment Services. We also worked on many more short-term programs such as Reaching for the Goal, Targeted Older Worker Initiative, Career Quest and Adjustment Committee Services.
The focus of our programs has always been on the employment needs of individuals and on either helping them move towards work-readiness or obtain gainful employment. We pride ourselves on offering quality services in person and in groups to individuals from various backgrounds and with various barriers as we want to see them achieve their goals. Over the years, we have been able to assist over 29,500 individuals with their employment needs.
